In this documentary, we aimed to shed light on an often-overlooked aspect of the unhoused community in Los Angeles: the sense of community and mutual support that exists within it. While much of the narrative surrounding homelessness focuses on hardships, our intent was to showcase a different perspective – one of resilience and connection. At the heart of this film is an individual who, despite being unhoused himself, dedicates his resources to serving meals daily to the Venice community. Through his story, we wanted to illustrate how those experiencing homelessness are not just recipients of aid, but active contributors to their community's well-being.
